Baby Weight

Today I wanted to share my personal success story.  It's not bragging, but my way of letting you know that I too struggle, and it does not come easy for many of us.  My youngest daughter is 8 months old, and as of today, I have lost a total of 50 lbs since giving birth.  I am a nursing mother, so I have to consume extra calories.  Better stated, I do NOT eat like a bird.  I love food, and I don't always make good decisions.  However, I don't give up just because I have a bad day.  I just start fresh the next day.  Above all, I exercise 5-6 days a week, and of course, it's doing ZUMBA!!!!  I also do Yoga at home, but my cardio comes from Zumba.

I am proof it can be done with 3 small children and a very busy life.  You get out of it what you put into it. So give it your all when you take any fitness class or exercise routine in general.  It you do it half way, expect mediocre results.  Above all, find something you ENJOY doing.  If it's not zumba, try something else.  Find what you love to do, then give it 100%.

  1. Ramona,

I wanted to thank you for posting this! It is nice to know we all struggle :) One year ago, I had my baby and was HUGE. I gained close to 60 lbs and have struggled to lose it. Thanks to Zumba being SO much fun and watching what I eat, I can officially say I have lost it all-and then some! I am actually sitting in my skinny jeans right now! Thanks for being so motivating and for making exercise fun!
